New years eve

Hey taking my girlfriend to prague for new year. Any ideas on what to do. We are staying in the Hotel Angelo. We are also doing a segway trip that day so maybe something quiet.

The city centre of Prague is usually very crowded, busy and one big party for the last night of the year. I would prefer some place near by Charles Bridge, Malá Strana location. I am sure, there will be also possibility to visit some places near by your hotel (try to ask them, they will know better). It´s not easy to give you just one recommendation. And - very importatn - a question about the money. Some places offering the program can be quite expensive.

Do you like classical music?

St. Georges Basilica ((Kláster sv. Jirí na Prazském hrade)

Jiřská 33, Prague Castle

Pachelbel, Mozart & Vivaldi 4:30pm

Municipal House (Obecní dum), Prague 4pm

Smetana Hall), the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra --Vivaldi and Dvorak

Not that quiet, but definitely place to mix with locals: Palmovka. Their program is not yet ready for Dec. 31, but check closer to the date:

Could be anything: jazz, blues, country, oldies, folk..... always a great surprise & drinks & food are inexpensive....
