State Opera House - Seating

Hello,

My girlfriend and I want to try and see Swan Lake on the 4th February.

We are just looking at the different types of seats on www.ticketsbti.cz/WBS/ang/frame0.php…

Does anyone have any suggestions. The cheaper the better as we are not sure whether we can even stay for the whole performance unfortunately but would love to go for the experience.

Can anyone tell me whether the cheapest seats are still good?

We are looking at the 100, 300 or 500 CZK.

Are any of those good enough?

Thanks in advance

The 2nd balcony for 300 are no problem. Just choose some of the seats in the middle. Or the first row for 500.

Enjoy

Thanks to both of you for your help.

I was hoping the 300 CZK seats would be suitable so I will go with your advice.

Looking forward to it!

Thanks Tilly31, I think we are going to go for the 300CZK ones as they are only a couple of rows back and there are a couple of seats left in the middle.

Should be a good 2 and a half hours. Value for money!!

You'll enjoy it - make sure you read upon the dress code ( at least partially)

In case you were wondering the dress code is set out here: http://www.opera.cz/en/navsteva_opery.html it is not like going to the opera at home as it is a lot more formal, but that is part of the experience!

I have read a lot of posts saying that a lot of people just come in shirts and 'smart jeans'.

Will I be alright if I wear some trousers, shirt, blazer and shoes and my girlfriend wears a dress of some sort?

I am sure you'll be fine, as long as you look 'tidy' - i.e. no daps, T shirts or jeans.
