Hotels going round in circles

Apologies for another HOTEL question:

It must bore those who do such a good job of helping others on here when there are reviews but I will ask anyway:

My problem is I have read so many posts with contradictory views I'm now confused.

My wife and I are staying for 7 nights in the last week of July. (Ages 51 and 63, still fit and active)

Ideally we would like:

- To walk to, or back from, where we go each day so not necessarily based in a main tourist centre. Public transport to be close if used.

- Be near good restaurants for the evening so only a very short walk needed (wife may wear heels).

- Hotel to be clean and provide decent breakfast (breakfast optional for me but my wife would like it)

- Thought: Is aircon in the room advisable at that time? (We're not usually fans of it).

I had thought of the Mamaison Residence Belgika or Riverside hotels (=400GBP per day + expensive breakfast 10-15Euros each) but now read they may be a bit far and the riverside may not have restaurants near by.

I'd like to spend less than 500GBP but don't want to spoil the holiday by being cheap (am a little surprised at the prices although I understand it's the capital)

Thank you

Pete

500 GBP per night? Am I reading it correctly?

Mamaison Pachtuv palac....suite with a river view

Intercontinental - suite with a river view

Ventana - top floor suites

Kempinski...

most will have breakfast as extras, and not cheap, 25 euros minimum.

Are you sure you've not seen the total stay at £400?

Prices on sky scanner for a week in July coming in between 11-12k...at the Riverside.

Dear all,

Thanks for the replies to my question yesterday.

But the mistake in my post means I have wasted your time. Of course it's the total stay for £400 that I saw at Mamaison Riverside / Belgika.

Those hotels mentioned by Tilly41 are really more than I want to pay.

Do you think the Mamaison hotels would still be ok for us?

Thanks,

Pete

PS I must have been tired last night. I couldn't log on so re-registered using an incorrect e-mail address. Have now manage to log on tonight - doh! LOL

Mamaison Residence Belgika is in a nice location, residential streets leafy corner restaurants with outdoor terraces and if you don't feel like a walk you can always use the tram, the Amytest is there as well or have a look at the Anna which is GBP 300 for 7 nights in July
