Amusement parks in Prague?

Hello all,

We are staying in Prague for 6 days next week. This is our first visit. My nephew will have his 10th birthday at that time. I was trying to find something fun to do for him on his birthday but wasn't very successful. Are there any amusement parks or something fun to do for kids that age?(he is not really into zoos that much).

Any ideas are welcome.

Thank you!

There is an amusement park which is still open (it closes in November), but its biggest attractions are there only from February to April. Opening hours: Tuesday-Friday : 2pm-9pm; Saturday+Sunday: 10am-10pm

The entrance is free, you pay for the attractions.

It is located in Výstaviště area, meaning: http://www.incheba.cz/en/contacts.html

There is Krizik Fountain with Lighting effects nearby too: incheba.cz/en/…krizik-fountain.html

Otherwise, in the centre of Prague there is also a museum of chocolate. I have never been there, but it does sound great! http://choco-story-praha.cz/en/contact/

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I think amusement park fits the bill. I will also check the chocolate museum (I might be interested in it)

Huls-clos, when I clicked on incheba link it took me to expo-center. Is the amusement park situated there. There was not much info about amusement park.

Thank you!

Yes The Historic Tram ride any kid from 3 to 103 would love it ,real cheap too but only runs at weekends

I have been on it a couple of times had to fight some kids so i could play brakeman, they were bigger than me but I still got a shot.

It is also a great way of seeing the city

Yes, the amusement park is part of it. It does have also a separate website but just in czech so I thought it would be of no use (it looks as if they do have an english version but it does not work). Perhaps I can post you a link to its gallery: http://www.matejskapout.cz/celorocni.html - the cathegory "Celoroční atrakce" shows attractions which you can always find there.

I am pleased my suggestions help and hope you enjoy your stay in Prague.

My No1 top secret thing for a 10 year old to do though it only takes a few minutes.

If you are in the castle area and have tickets to enter Golden lane, visit the Armoury museum in the battlement area,at the very end of this is an area where you can fire a real old fashioned Crossbow,(50kc for 3 arrows I think)I missed out on my last trip as I was too busy but been there loads of times before, used to get 5 arrows for 50kc but hey thats inflation for you.

this link show you the place.
