Location and tips for transports

GoodLocation? & Transport in the city &/ Viena - Prague by train/bus & Village near ?

Hello everyone,

1 - Regarding the location (if it's central), what you think about those 3 options?

Pension Platan - Revolucni 24

Pure White - Koubkova 12

Hotel NOIR - Legerova 35

I've checked in google maps and the city center they say it's really near the White and Noir and around 2,5km from the Pension Platan

2 - There's any tip for a "city card" or a transportation card ? we'll be there 4 nights.

3 - We'll arrive from Vienna and I've checked here (http://www.czech-transport.com) and the price is 48€/person(train) and in the same site I've saw the Eurolines buses that are 21€ and faster ... is that correct ? both can be bought in advance on the internet ?

4 - Last question ... is there any nice village near that we can visit in an afternoon?

Thanks everyone for your help :=)

For a shorter trip like this the bus may be a good option, check also studentagency.cz think its even cheaper , takes just under 4 hours and buses are good standard.

Village for afternoon, hmm, there are some castles like Karlstejn which also have a small village beneath.

check right column of this page for suggestions on Day Trips

city centre is very walkable..if staying in Prague 1 you don't need a card or pass..simpy get a few single tickets as needed.

30min is generally all you need..there is a 90 min ticket.
