Express train from Prague to Kutna Hora

Hey all,

I'd like to catch the express train from Prague to Kutna Hora?

does every railway station have the express trains?

Which railway station with express trains is closest to Prague 1?

Where might I find the time schedule?

Lastly, how much time should I plan on spending on this day trip to see the ossuary and the town center (without being too detailed of course)?

Thanks for your feedback.

See www.idos.cz English option bottom right.

Get the train from hlavní nádraží (main station), it should take about an hour. Buy your tickets on the day.

Well, this is weird... last week I tried all the different combinations from the drop down options of Prague stations to Kutna Hora stations. All of them say there's no such connection.

Now I'm trying again it it actually shows me a schedule!!!

Would the correct starting/ending point be Praha hl.n/kutna hora hl.n ??

If you can't find it on idos.cz, try http://www.cd.cz/en/default.htm. There are several direct trains during the day, although others require a change in Kolin.

Roughly what you should do is arrive by train to the main station (Kutna Hora Hlavni nadrazi), walk to the ossuary, which is in the part of town called Sedlec, then walk into the old town and end up at St. Barbora's cathedral. If you want, you can then catch a train back from the city train station (Kutna Hora Mesto), which requires a change at the main station, but you only have to wait five minutes or so.

Count on 4-5 hours in Kutna Hora in total in order to make it worth it and see the highlights.

GCEK

You mention discount from Prague to Kutna Hora. We have 7 people in our group, is the discount only for roundtrip or also good for one way? Reason I ask cause if for roundtrip only, is the train ticket for certain time or open ticket? thanks

You'll get a discount on a round trip as well, but it doesn't cost that much in the first place! The ticket is open.
