First time prague, accomadation, transfers and weather

Hello

I have a booked a surprise 5 day flight to Prague in February for my boyfriend and myself. We have never been so looking forward to it. I only booked the flights so far and I have been looking at accommodation but there seems to be so much with a varying price ranges. I am a student and I usually stay in backpacker hostels but my boyfriend never has so I wanted to book a hotel but I am on a budget £25 per night max. Can anyone recommend suitable clean safe accommodation with a good location. Also what is the best way to get from the airport to the city centre and are all the tourist attractions still open in February?

Thanks

For that budget you may have to either settle for hotel in the suburbs (good public transport) or a room with shared social facilities. On a quick glance at some hotel reservation sites there are however a few exceptions, like Colloseum Hotel which is fairly close to the tourist attractions and seems to be a three star tourist hotel.

The cheapest way to travel from the airport is to buy a public transport ticket from DPP kiosk just at the airport. The instructions to travel from the airport to your accommodation is depending on the location. You can look at the ticket options and routes from the Prague public tranport site: www.dpp.cz/en

Colloseum seems not be as enchanting as many of the customers hoped though...

Thank you for your advice. Hotel doesn't seem to have great reviews so don't think I'll risk it.

Thank you for your advice. Hotel collesumn doesn't seem to have great reviews so don't think I'll risk it but the fusion and mosaic sound great just a little over my budget. I'm hoping they might reduce the price a little. Thanks for the tips.
