hi every one ,
I just wondering is there any way to get from Prague to Montenegro by bus or train please ?
thanks in advance
Can't be right, can it? A direct train a couple of times a week? EC273 Avala? (28 hours)
Good spotting Tilly41, looks like it is. Anyone been on it and can confirm?
It probably does not matter if anyone confirms or not...the OP is posting odd requests.....
Unfortunately, the through cars Prague-Bar are temporarily suspended at the moment as they are supposed to be attached to the Belgrade-Bar night train which is re-timed to leave Belgrade earlier, so it can be diverted via lapovo to avoid the flood-damage. The Avala now arrives after the night train has left.
So I'd still take the early morning Prague-Belgrade train 'Avala', spend a night & day in Belgrade (a lovely city - try the excellent Moskva Hotel) then take the re-timed night train leaving Belgrade around 18:00 arriving Podgorica and Bar next morning. It should be light by the time you do the really spectacular bit, through the mountains and over the world's highest railway viaduct.
The cheapest way to buy a Prague-Belgrade ticket is to (1) book a cheap ticket from Prague to Budapest from 500Kr (19 euro) on the Avala using Czech railways www.cd.cz/eshop , then (2) book a cheap ticket from Budapest to Belgrade also on the Avala (which leaves Budapest Keleti around 13:05 or 13:14 as I recall) for 15 euros at Hungarian railways site www.mav-start.hu . Then (3) you simply buy the Belgrade-Podgoica/Bar ticket at the station in belgrade, the ticket costs around 20 euros, not a problem, plus 9 euro couchette supplement or 20 euros sleeper supplement.
You'll need to nip out at Budapest to collect the ticket from the little blue internet ticket collection machine, there's one just 100 feet ahead of the buffer stops in front of your locomotive, collecting the ticket will take 2 minutes, the train spends around 20 minutes in Budapest having the front locomotive detached and a new one added at the rear to haul it out and on again.
