Anyone any idea what is the quickest way to travel from Brno to Vienna on a Saturday? Thanks.
Train is probably marginally quicker and it only costs €9 from the cd eshop if bought at least three days in advance.
Ok thanks for that. Where is the cd eshop please? If we have to buy at rail station on the day, is that expensive?
If you buy on the day it costs €23 and the e-shop is here https:/… (select English top right), so it pays off to get it in advance!
The bus is a bit cheaper at 190 Crowns (€7.70) http://jizdenky.studentagency.cz/ - for some reason for English click on the European flag button and you can usually buy up until the day before travel, or even on the day from the bus hostess, but it depends on how brave you are feeling :)
Thanks again GCEK.
On the cd eshop site can you purchase 1st class tickets. when buying tickets the passenger tab gives you 3 options, ticket, seat reservations only and SC/rail plus seat reservations. What does the last one mean? If you wish to purchase a ticket and reserve a seat do you have to make 2 puchases?
Not sure, sorry! GCEK can you help out please? Thanks!
Since GCEK is not answering at the moment...
1. no, you cannot buy 1st class ticket on line for this route, only 2nd class
2. SC Rail plus - ignore - this is for people who have some special passes which you do not have.
3. First buy your ticket, then go back for reservation and select your seats - however, reservation is hardly ever needed so I would not waste my moneyEdited: 29 May 2011, 17:56
... and I wouldn't waste my money on first class, either :)
