Restaurant Recommendations

Can anyone recommend a few favorite restaurants in Krakow? Maybe a few outdoor cafes, and a nice restaurant for a special night. Thanks in advance.

I really like Farina - don't remember to street name, but its in the old town, very close to the main square. Great Italian influenced food.

La Strada in kazimierz does excellent food, old polish favourites and pizza pasta etc...lovely ambience and reasonable priced.

Mmm the best polish apple cake with caramel sauce, icecream and cream, followed by hot chocolate is in cafe Malaga, you wont need lunch after that! You will find it in Cafe Malaga great music and lovely leather chairs to relax in after a mornings shopping. In the main square opposite the little church in between two shops down a little alleyway.

these are last years prices

There is a restaurant dead opposite the royal hotel called restauracja pod baranem..there were only us 4 there plus a huge group of locals..... price was £51 for 4 starters + mains, 3 desserts and coffee's,2 huge bottles water,2 small and 2 lge beers,2 vodka and apple, 5 straight vodkas....our only problem was getting the waiters to look at us as they were enthralled buy this huge group who were drinking vodka by the bottles!

Food was excellent.. two of our party had homemade mushroom soup served in a whole cottege loaf!

Other restaurants we visited were Rest..POD ANIOLAMI £45.50 /4 peopple but service not good.. seemed to be run by group of 18 year olds..

Fish restaurant FARINA £71.. food nice but very small portions/ and Rest PAESE a coriscan restaurant.. very good.. the two lads in our party wanted streak.. they brought out a whole fillet on a wooden board and a carving knife ! cost of whole meal £69 and within that we had a bottle of red plus all the other bits!

Hope you have a fab holiday.. it's a lovely city.
