Krakow in February??

We are going to Krakow in February but nowstarting to get worried as everyone we have spoken to keeps telling us how cold it will be. Now worried that our long weekend will be ruined by snow storms! We knew it would be cold and thought it would be quite romantic. Does anyone know what it's like then and whether we will still be able to do tours etc??

Thanks so much

Well, it will be cold but I have Polish friends here in London who say it feels colder to them here than it did in Poland.

We were in Budapest in Feb this year and didn't find it any colder than the UK.

Wear suitable clothing, jacket, hat, gloves, scarf and you'll be fine!

Hi Sophiale

We were in Krakow in February and it was mind numbingly cold. It got down to minus 26 degrees C at night, and didn't get above minus 15 degrees C during the day.

There was a lot of snow on the ground. However, they get snow every winter and are totally geared up to coping with it, unlike us!

It was VERY romantic, especially at the Wawel. Just make sure you wrap up in lots of layers, buy some thermals before you leave the UK (they were very expensive over there), and wear a really warm coat and hat!

Hope this puts your mind at rest. Enjoy!
