Prague via train - Do I need a passport?

I was planning on leaving all my important documentation (passport) with my family in Krakow while I go visit Prague for a few days - I just plan on bringing my CDN drivers license. Will I need my passport at border crossing? or to check into hotels or for any other reason?

1. Re: Prague via train - Do I need a passport?

There is no check on train, this route is inside Schengen zone.

Anyway, you need your passport in the hotel and as your ID document.
