Is it best to get Zloty in the UK, or would the exchange rate be better in Kracow.

You will get a better rate in Krakow. Avoid the airport and the large garish money exchange offices. The smaller , local, Kantors will get you the best rates. A search under Krakow forum and you should see a number of threads that give addresses. Beware of "too good" rates. They are. Either the buy back rate or for multi thousand pound deals

hi, we found it much better to change money in Krakow, as mentioned in other posts on here avoid the large orange exchanges and it might sound obvious but always ask how much you will get for the amount you are changing before handing over your money. Have a good trip..

Sorry to sound daft, but do you take pounds sterling and change it, or use a credit or debit card? I was going to change my money at the post office here, but it sounds as though i'm best waiting.

There are lots of ATMs around that will accept your credit and debit cards to give you cash.

Mixture of notes and card. Advise you not to use your credit card to get cash. Debit card is just going to depend how much your bank charges you. Mine compared OK with the rates available at Kantors. If you have a couple of debit cards take both in case one bank or other decides to block your card with the "unusual transaction" get out.
