Take the amount you would spend in UK and you'll take some back with you. You can exchange money as you go at the Kantors or use one of the many ATM. If using kantors avoid Interchange / Western Union as the rates they quote are the buy back and their sell rates are very poor. You typically will get up to 10% more zloty for your pounds changing in Poland than you will in UK.

You always bring money back with you, I always stay 4 nights and take £300 for myself. I dont eat at high end restaurants or drink pricey alcohol and I took a little of this back with me. I usually get breakfast at my hotel and then go for quick bite at lunch. I stop off at a lot of coffee shops for a warm drink and a little dessert mid afternoon. Then head out for a meal at night followed by some locals beers. I am not a wine drinker and from I remember the wine is a little more expensive.Vodka is cheap though! Always change your money in Krakow if you have a good debit card use it. I always take my cash out in the ATM in the galeria mall beside the train station.

Just returned from Krakow./ Here are some costs: apt. (Krakow for You) 4 nights 960 zl, Meals: nice dinner: wine 9 zl; vodka 7-10 zl; fish 36 zl; beef loin in truffle sauce 48 zl(this was the most expensive), most meals around 28-38zl, beer 9.50 zl; soda 6 zl. Bus to auschwitch 20 pp each way-buy a return ticket, no entrance fee to either camps. You'll eat that wonderful bread you see everywhere for 1.50 zl. If you eat at Babci Malni it's delicious and cheap. Good luck. Eleana

I have had the same problem. Can anyone tell me the price of a meal in a nice resteraunt, price of a bottle of wine, pint of beer, bottle of homemade vodka and random souvenirs. Thanks. :-)

Hi, an evening meal can be anything from 30zl-100zl depending on where you eat and what you want to eat, wine can be expensive and we dont tend to drink it much so cant really help you there, beer as between 7zl-10zl again depending on where you are, around the main square will cost the most, bottles of vodka can be bought for around 30zl. Check out the like below where you can read about restaurants and get links to some of the web sites which will give you prices for meals. Hope this helps..
