Are Taxi's Recommended

Hi,

What is the best way to get from Kazimierz to the train station in the mid evening hours? When I say best, I mean the safest with the least likelihood of getting lost and how much should I expect to spend?

Any recommendations for a hip eatery also?

Thank you.

Hi,

If you are in krakow for a fe day, you will find out that taxi is usually not necessarry for such distance. The price and timing will change depending on where you are in Kazimierz. You can:

- walk - 20 to 30 min. The easiest is usually to reach starowislna street, cross dietla and continue up to gertrudy and tuen right to reach the train station

- tram - it will be a few stops

- taxi will cost you you 12 to 15 pln.

Hope it help,

J

Like Jkrakow is saying that distance can easily be walked.

But in case you want to take a cab, use Icar (+48126535555)

Their prices are atleast 40% below average taxies, and they do not cheat, atleast I've never experince it.

the best and most inexpensive way to get around is by tram....it also allows you to travel far and wide.....buy a doba which is a 24 hour pass and get off an on at will.....

From what i can see the current prices are 12zloty for a 24 hour pass up to 30zloty for a 72 hour pass, but maybe some local could let you know for sure, you can buy them from ticket machines at the tram stops also from some of the small shops near the tram stops.

2nd the iCar suggestion. It's the cheapest option for taxi and the most likely you won't get ripped off. You can take a tram as well which is the cheapest and they are perfectly safe. It really depends on the amount of luggage you have and how far the tram stop is from where you are staying.
