best place to stay

I want to stay in the centre of Krakow but not where it may be full of stag/hen parties. could anyone recomment an area. I have looked at Logos hotel and also Galicya Hotel but am not sure which would be best for being central but not too busy - if that makes sense!! we will be staying for 3 nights in June.

Many thanks for your help

Why not say in Kazimierz the old jewish quarter, its more relaxed than around the main square and still only 2 tram stops away or 20 min walk, we have stayed in the Hotel Eden and Hotel David and would recomend both, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area and its not as expensive as the main square.

first time in krakow you should stay in the old town or right on the periphery, as thats where you will be spending most of your time.....the galicja is too far out....logos is much better but still not in the old town....looks like you're shooting for a budget hotel......try the wawel....or maybe the polonia or europejski.....dont worry about the stags...its not really that obvious

We stayed in Hotel Classic in February and thought the location was great. There were bars right by the hotel but we didn't hear anything. And only a very short walk to the square :)

We have stayed twice at tango house. Its a lovely b&b about a 20 second walk from the square. They do a lovely breakfast.

Krakow's tiny, so unfortunately stags and hens are quite difficult to avoid if you spend any time in the Old Town. The worst places are ul. Szewska, ul. Slawkowska, ul. Florianska, ul. Grodzka, ul. Stolarska and the Rynek itself. Having said that, I'd still recommend staying in the Old Town or close by so that you can walk everywhere. So for me, simply due to the location, the Logos would be a better choice than the Galicya.
