Travel from Poznan to Krakow. By air, train or bus?

I have a plan to visit Krakow on 2 Dec. 2013. I will travel from Poznan. As I looking for information, I found 2 ways;

1. By night train that depart from Poznan around late night of 1 Dec. 2013 and arrive Krakow in the morning.

2. By LOT airlines from Poznan around 17:00 via Warsaw and arrive Krakow around 20:35 (on 1 Dec. 2013)

I tried to find the bus, but I can't find the direct bus. Is a direct bus available from Poznan?

It's look like the night train is cheaper than by air. Is it safe? How about train service? Or I should travel by air?

Thanks for any information.

When planning to travel from Poznan to Krakow by train, just do bear in mind the train WILL arrive later than scheduled. If you don't mind changing once, there is a rather faster way to get there - take the train from Poznan to Wroclaw Glowny and then change to one of the express buses that run frequently from Wroclaw to Krakow (check: http://www.polskibus.com/en or http://lajkonik.moj-bus.pl/?lang=en). The bus stop in Wroclaw is located just outside the main train station and polskibus has a map with the bus stop locations on their website: http://www.polskibus.com/en/bus-stops
