best place stay in wroclaw-have to visit Wroclaw Uni of Tech

Hi,

I have to visit Wroclaw Univ. of Technology (will be spending about 5 days going there everyday). How far is the university from the city centre?

Where would be the best place to find a hotel in terms of travel convenience?

advise and help much appreciated!

About 35 minutes on foot to the Rynek {Market Square} so potentially any city centre hotels. The Radisson is nearer, about a mile / 20 minutes.

Yup, anything near Rynek and Galeria Dominikańska (shopping mall) will be ok. Walking from Rynek to Politechnika (it's Polish shorter name for the Univ. of Tech.) is possible, sometimes very pleasant (if the weather is nice) but if you want to travel by public transportation then you will need to take direct trams 4 or 33PLUS from Plac Dominikański (next to Galeria Dominikanska) - mind this while choosing your hotel. The travel from Plac Dominikanski to Wybrzeże Wyspańskiego (where Politechnika is) takes about 5 mins without any traffic jams and 10 mins in rush hours.
