Hi guys, will be flying in from Turkey for a 7 day (technically 6.5 days solo trip in May. In 7 days, I thought i might be able to see more but eventually after research, I realised, even though Slovenia is a small country, 7 days is still not alot so I have narrowed my itinerary to this, especially I am not too confident driving on the other side of the road and will be depending on public transports. Experts who knows the country better, please advise on whether travelling distances are realistic and whether the towns I choose to be based is fine or there are better options. Also, my priority to this trip is because I am so attracted the beauty of Bled, Vintar Gorge and Bohinj and also the 2 famous caves, in short, I love natural beauty like mountains, waterfalls, walks etc.... I do also appreciate some of the old town charm which I think I should find in the capital, if there are better options please let me know! However I am also not the fittest of persons, so strenuous walks with too steep a climb is out for me. My proposed itinerary:
10 May - reach Ljubana in the morning - travel to Bled immediately, settle down and spend the afternoon going to Vintar Gorge and relax at Lake Bled....
11 - May - base in Bled, travel to Bohinj for a day out there.
12 May - travel to Postojana and base there. Afternoon, explore postojana cave
13 May - Based in Postojana, visit Skocjan caves on a day trip.
14 May - travel to Ljubana, explore Capital
15 May - Still Ljubana
16 May - fly back to Istanbul.
Appreciate all information and suggestions and advice! Thanks!
