Greetings to Malta!

Bovec in winter means skiing, skiing and more skiing! Kanin now links up with Sella Nevea so you can ski in more than one country in one day!

Contact http://en.joffitours.com/home/ for ski hire.

And http://www.boveckanin.si/index.php?lang=en for more info!

I would recommend sledding down the Mangart Road (although I've never done it personally, I have some friends who have done it and say it's great). I am not sure how appropriate it is for a six year old though.

As already stated it is a winter resort and therefore for skiers or boarders. However, hotel Kanin has a swimming pool, there is an ice skating rink at the back operated by Crna ovca bar. You have quite a few companies in the village which offer sledging on various mountain tracks either day or night. As you have a car you can also get to the nursery slopes in either Tarvisio italy (30mins) if you wish to try skiing or check out the market there, or 45min and you are in Kranjska gora, just at the border with Italy (Ratece) you can try dog sledding.
