We are a family of 5 who will be visiting Budapest from May 11 through to May 16. I have shortlisted a few must-do things based on everything that I have read on Trip Advisor so far. They include, the Free Walking City Tour on Day 1, a Hop-on Hop-off city tour on the rest of Day 1 (and Day 2) although I am not too sure about this, a Day trip to Szentendre, Visegrad and Esztergom on Day 3, a Day trip to Eger and the Tokaj region on Day 4, a Day trip to Lake Balaton and the Herend Porcelain Factory on Day 5, a Day trip to Pecs (if I decide to let go of the Hop-on Hop-off city tour). Since we are 5 of us, the organized group tours are working out rather expensive. Can anyone help me with the most economical yet convenient way to see all the above on my list? We are comfortable taking the public transport or hiring a car. Also, will the 24 HR GROUP CARD FOR BUDAPEST TRAVEL (bkv.hu/en/…budapest_24_hour_group_travel_card) be helpful for the Day Trips? Please assist, thanks!
