Budapest across west europe - train

Been checking out a few ideas.

Im looking at flying from the UK to budapest...then hoping from there via train to the following - bratislava, vienna, munich, zurich, milan - then fly back.

Iv found that rail europe do a pass, that allows 10 out of 22 days travel?

My itinery would be about 12 nights long, i cant work out if the "10" days means 10 fixed journeys or 10 full days of train travel?

For me it would cost £237gbp - i understand budapest to bratislava to vienna etc is a short journey, so basically would i benefit with the euro rail pass or just buying seperate single tickets as and when?

Nice idea, but you will not see much of the places you plan to visit - Budapest and Vienna both deserve minimum 2 full days - and would definitely skip Bratislava.
