15th March Hungarian National Holiday

I have people coming to visit from the 15th-18th on March, will shops and services be closed on the 15th Only? or do they close all weekend? Hoping the Spas will reopen on friday.

Hi,

From 15-18th March we will have so called "4 days weekend".

Most of the shops and services are closed only on 15th March. A great number of bars and restaurants are open some other services are available tomorrow.

Opening hours on 16th March will be similar to a normal Saturday.

"4 day weekends" are important periods of domestic tourism, spas and places of entertainment will be open.

Thank you this has been very helpful. Will probably take in some sights by foot tomorrow and then explore the spas fri/sat.
