child friendly??

There are about 16 of us travelling to Budapest end of July, my partner and i are taking our children aged 6 and 23 months, where are the best places to visit paid and free, ive only found the city zoo that appeal so far, and we dont mind either if it's in the tourist parts or local villages. ,thanks in Advanced

Hi Pip,

Budapest has many things to do for children. See the link below for details and please search this forum as we answer this question frequently. Some highlights to examine outside of the zoo:

- Children's railway

- Ski lift

- MANY great parks

- Margit Island (petting zoo, rental family bikes, swimming, etc.)

Enjoy.

Thanku very much, sorry i dont really know what im doing as its my 1st holiday abroad, had a look and it looks fab, i was worrying that i wouldn't be able to keep them occupied with it being a city break, but it looks fabulous and um sure the kids will love it. Thanku again.

All of the above, plus

Transport Museum of Budapest

Hungarian Railway Museum

i dont know where you are from pip but budapest is much more child friendly than the uk, most places accept children nearly all the time the exceptions being night clubs and casinos

the zoo and the baths are a great day out ,also the childrens railway got my daughters imagination going

the ski lift might be a tad daunting for the 6 years old but is good fun

regards tony
