Budapest in November?

Thinking of a break at the beginning of November and seems to be great deals flying from Edinburgh with Jet 2 - hotel and flights!! A place I've never considered before to be honest but it looks gorgeous!

Can go for a week or 4 nights, not sure if a week might be too long in November? Did notice on here it seems easy to get the train to Prague from Budapest so maybe a 2 city break!!

What's the average cost of drinks/eating out? Worried it might also be a bit too cold and wet in November going by the average weather guides I've read....anyone been at that time of year and who can comment?

Thoughts on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Go for it, but if you want a 2 centre break do Vienna and Bpest, not Prague which is 7 hrs on the train vs 3.25 to Vienna. Although they are only 150 miles apart Vienna and Bpest are very different. Hungarians call Vienna Becs btw (they're a funny lot).

Don't worry about the weather in November, snow is rare and anyway it quickly disappears at that time of year - Jan/ Feb are the really cold months. If you only do 4 nights then Bpest will have enought to fill your days (tho a day trip to Vienna is possible).

A beer is a bit less than 2quid, a decent meal out can be had for £15, a very nice meal for £25.

Latching onto this post...last week in November will it be cold enough to wear boots then or simply waterproof walking shoes?

Hi thank you for the information about the 1st November in Budapest, we decided in the end to wait until next year when it will be a bit warmer but I appreciate the information.

Cheers.
