Budapest hotels

We are planning a trip to Budepapest in March and would be grateful for any recommendations for 3 or 4 star hotels situated in the centre, (preferably within walking distance of main attractions).

Have a look at the Corinthia Hotel. It is rated as a 5* but at 4* prices. The Executive room package is a snip as you get access to the Executive Lounge with lots of benefits. Easy walking to most places and the tram stops right outside the door.

Have a read of the reviews, it looks to be a great option in Budapest.

Also consider the Gerloczy, pretty much in the centre of most attractions.

It's actually among the very best hiltons; the location, though, is a bit isolated from all but its immediate environs on Castle Hill. I tend to gravitate towards the other side of the river .., Central Pest.

@LibbySid

The Hilton Castle is a solid property in its own right definitely the better Hilton property in the city and some of the rooms offer absolutely stunning views of the Pest side of Budapest. It is well situated for exploring and taking in the castle area. If you are planning on using points for your stay the property is a good one.

If not, ... as alluded to above for a first time visitor it may not be the most advantageous for exploring and taking in Budapest with all its wonderful sights. For that you may want to stay on the Pest side of the city location wise, anywhere within the Great/Big ring road (Nagykorut) and the river should suit your needs.The area should you want to Google map it, runs from the Petofi Bridge at the south to the Margaret Bridge at the north. Keep in mind it does seem to change names as it progresses through the city but rest assured it is still the same road.

Anywhere within that area is very central offering you easy access by foot or public transportation to all the sights that Budapest has to offer and potentially should be worthy of your consideration...plenty of good restaurants, bars and easy access to public transportation is abundant.

Best
