There are SO many wonderful reviews for hotels in Budapest - I don't know where to start.
I am trying to bring my husband for a surprise 10 year wedding anniversary break. The things I am struggling to consider and getting all confused about is that I don't want to end up either in a district that is so quiet that it's unsavoury or in the middle of nowhere but nor do I want a district that is the party hub of the city and to be surrounded by 20 somethings.
On the same note I am happy to pay a little more than the average for a hotel as there are so many great ones about but again I would like to avoid any that big groups of people may book into. A river, castle or parliament building view would be wonderful though.
We are not big drinkers - we would like to have some great meals and would like to be able to walk about at night to city the city lit up - it looks beautiful.
We would like to maybe go to a spa and the zoo/botanical gardens. We would like to be handy for a metro station although we are both physically able to walk 5 or 10 minutes to a station if need be.
Finally, I would like to be able to jump on the train and nip over to Austria for a day to make the most of our visit and our overall aim of ticking off as many countries as we can on our bucket lists.
So, can anybody please help with that Riddle? Places to visit, restaurants to dine at and hotels to stop in all greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance of your help.
