Family of 4 including 2 preteens.
We will be visiting Budapest in August and would like your feedback/suggestions on how to split our time in the Buda and Pest sides. We are staying on the Buda Side.
These are the sites we are interested to visit:
The Great Market Hall or Central Market Hall (Hungarian "Nagycsarnok"), Castle Hill (Varhegy), including the Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, the Parliament, Margaret's Island, Buda Castle, Matthias Church (Matyas Templom), Chain Bridge (Szechenyi lanchid) , Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvar), Heroes' Square, Varosliget, Szechenyi baths, Citadella, Andrassy Avenue, St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), Gellert Hill and Statue, the Cave Church, Danube promenade. We will take a river tour (1 hour) and one of the baths for families with children.
Please advise how we can put an itinerary together on the above places of interest like 1 day (Buda side with an early start-up time at 7am) and 1 day - Pest Side (with an early start-up time at 7am) and another day (anything goes), as we will have almost 3 days in Budapest before heading to Prague via overnight train or earliest morning train.
Thanks for all your feedback and suggestions.
