Vienna to Budapest by train

We will be taking a train from Vienna to Budapest.

We will be staying at Iberostar Grand Hotel Budapest address - Oktober 6. utca 26, Budapest, 1051.

Which train station should we get off and what is the best way to get to the hotel?

For cab, which are the safe and reliable ones and where to get the cab?

Thanks for your help!

I did this trip yesterday. The train terminates at one stop. Keleti station. We were adviser to transfer to metro lines etc. After a few train trips and total confusion we jumped into a taxi - was only about $10.

You have no choice of train station. The train will stop at Budapest Keleti only, and that is where you get off.

To get to your hotel I suggest you ask them to arrange a taxi for you. While Budapest taxis from Keleti are now nowhere near as bad as they once were, there are still a lot of rogue drivers out there who will try to scam you. Under no circumstances accept the offer of a taxi from anyone within the station complex.
