visiting three cities

My husband and I would love to visit Tallin, Vilnius and Riga. Is it easy to get between the cities without a car? Is there train service or bus service?

there are no trains between Baltic capitals, only flights:

The bus schedule is pretty regular and the buses are clean and much cheaper than flying.

Ecolines is the best way to get around (more regular and cheaper than eurolines). There is no train connection to speak of besides Talinn to Tartu, then from Valga to Riga (slow train) or from Eastern Latvia to Vilnius, but the latter two are infrequent and that probably is not much use to you. In RIga there is a super bus schedule to Vilnius from different companies: www.autoosta.lv
