Tallinn to Helsinki ferry

I am planning to take a ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki in the middle of this July. Is it a huge risk to schedule the trip on the day of my late afternoon flight from Helsinki? Had there been ever complete cancellations of traffic due to the weather in the middle of summer?

Thanks!

Chances of extreme weather conditions are minuscule during summer. I just googled and it seems that last year there were some cancellations, but those were catamarans.

Thanks a lot!

Would anybody clarify the luggage arrangement onboard. Do I need to buy a Comfort or even a higher option?

It's 2 or 2½ hours, you don't need to buy anything other than a regular ticket. There's a room for luggage, locked for the voyage.

The catamaran service is no more, as of this year. All existing services are very reliable. There's a ton of info about them here: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g18989…
