Cinema in Tallinn

Hello,

I'm planning to go to Tallinn for (hopefully) 3 or 4 days, which means I'll have to fill several evenings. I already had a look at the official Tallinn tourism website and they offer enough bars and pubs, but I always like to go to the movies as well. So my first question is of course: where can I find cinemas in Tallinn that show mainstream movies?

Since I don't speak Estonian I'd also like to know if movies in Estonia are dubbed in Estonian, or subtitled?

Any other ideas are also welcome, I'm not the clubbing type.

Kind regards,

Sabrina

Quite a wide choice

Solaris centre - shopping mall, www.solaris.ee

CC Plaza, also central location but a bit older

New thing is 5D cinema, haven't been there but seems interesting: http://www.kristiinekeskus.ee/?id=4d6cbacf

Main movies are in the original language, usually in English.

Also Sõprus and Kosmos Cinemas - should be enough choice.

Was last time at Kosmos (ticket was only 2.5 EUR and looked the Facebook story. Normal price is around 6-8 EUR for evening shows.

http://www.superkinod.ee/ is the website of Coca Cola Plaza, the other good multiplex theater. I personally prefer it to Solaris, though both are good and modern cinemas with good sound, comfy seats, 3D etc. Kosmos is an older theater built in the Soviet era (though it used to be the best at the time) and is about budget screenings these days. Sõprus http://www.kinosoprus.ee , another older cinema of note, is more about arthouse/slightly less commercial cinema such as European films.

Firms are shown in their original language with Estonian and Russian subtitles, but many animations and kids movies are dubbed. Even so, there are often a few original language screenings per day: "eesti keeles" with regards to the screening means it's in Estonian, and "inglise keeles" or "originaalkeeles" would refer to original.
