Baltic Trip

Hi have altered our trip somewhat, here it is.

3 days Tallinn old town and national park, 2 days parnu, 3 days Riga old town and jurmala and ethnograhic museum, 2 days cesis and gauja national park, 1 day Parnu, 2 days Saaremaa island and last day back to tallinn. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Anyone have any hotels etc that may be good for our size and what do you think of our trip?

...........

Cēsis is nice but small town, I would recommend to visit Sigulda too during these 2 days. More info here: http://tourism.sigulda.lv/public/eng/

In Cēsis and Riga you can use the same local hotel chain- Kolonna Hotels and possibly get some discount for that. Their website here: www.hotelkolonna.com/hotel-cesis/index.php…

Another option in Cēsis or Sigulda is guest houses. You will find them here: http://www.celotajs.lv/index.do

I think your trip looks good. We did a similar 2 week trip last July (family of 4 with 2 boys aged 12 and 13) and spent 2 nights Helsinki, 3 nights Tallinn, 4 nights Sigulda and 3 nights Stockholm. Sigulda in Latvia turned out to be the highlight for us (especially our boys) even though it was a small town, but we enjoyed the Tarzan adventure park/ziplining, luge ride and aerodium. It was also easy to do a day trip to Riga from Sigulda (1 hour by train), and a short drive to Cesis.

Not sure how easy it would be to find a place for 5 people, but we stayed in this apartment in Sigulda which worked fine for 4 of us.

instead spending 2+1 day in pärnu save one day and go to Hiiumaa (from saaremaa) or stay 1 more day in Tallinn. there is nothing to do so long in pärnu.
