Tallinn airport to Tartu

We are family of 5, and trying to figure out logistic to get to Tartu.

Is it possible to get car from airport and drop it at Tartu? What is reasonable company to rent?

Do they have cars with automatic transmission that will hold 5 passengers with 5 suitcases?

It looks that there is some bus from Tallinn airport to Tartu. Should we buy tickets in advance?

There are some Youth Busses too, are they coming to airport? Are they good for kids?

Thanks.

The bus to Tartu stops at the airport, you can get tickets at www.bussireisid.ee. They're very frequent. I am not sure if foreign cards are accepted on the site though. You can rent a large automatic car at the airport, you just have to reserve in advance like anywhere else. Options available at www.tallinn-airport.ee

Thanks. Any specific suggestions? Any outside rental websites that will allow rental with some discount?

So far prices that I lloked at for one day rental and returning to Tartu are astronomical.

I would strongly suggest you take the bus. They're very comfortable with individual entertainment system with movies, music, tv, games, books,... and the ride only takes about 2,5 hours.

The youth bus is not a good idea. It's a less modern and less comfortable bus with cheap prices for youngsters, but the same price as the more comfortable bus for non-youngsters.
