Where to stay in Riga - close to nightlife?

Hi guys,

Wondering which part of Riga you'd recommend I'd stay to be close to the nightlife, including restaurants, bars and clubs etc?

Thanks,

Z

Riga is not so big - so for first timers I would recommend

to stay in the Old Town (Vecriga) and everyting will be in

walking distance.

I was thinking Radisson Blue Latvija - 0.60 miles away.. Seems fairly out of the way and Google Maps returns a walking distance of 14 mins to St Peters Church.. Is this a fairly nice walk?

Stayed at Radisson lue many times and the walk to entrance of

Old Town (Kalku iela) is straight and short like 10-14 minutes..

Hi mate

Stay in old town if you don't mind to pay £80 -£100 per night.

I will be staying in hanza much cheaper but 15 minutes walk to old town or €5 by taxi. I'm going from London and there are positive feedbacks about hotel by Brits but negative feedbacks by others lol

Have fun
