Does anyone have or know where to find an inclusive list of what credit cards are excepted in Cuba.

We went to PRDO last year and when we tried to book trips they would not except my MBNA card because of its links to the USA. Had to get money transfered from home etc, bit of a pain.

I have phoned my other card supplier HSBC and they don't even seem to understand what I'm asking them!?

What cards have you used successfully??

Any advice or guidance would be appreciated?

You can definitely use Lloyds TSB I've had it with good authority from their head office and know other people who used theirs in Cuba

We successfully used LLoyds-TSB VISA debit cards and Barclay's Connect VISA debit cards in the ATMs and at bank counters the other week to take out cash.

I don't have a list, but saw the following mentioned in tour operators folders in the hotel - AMEX (no), and warnings about Abbey National, Virgin Money, MBNA.

Hi

We have been to Cuba several times, (Holguin and Varadero) and had no problem using our Visa card. We used it to book trips off the resort, and to make pruchases in the shops on the resorts.
