I know that I really should know the answer to this but can you use a Visa Debit Card at the PP to pay for trips or do they only accept credit cards. thanks Anne

HSBC cards issued in the UK are OK to use. However It might be worth getting a Post office credit card, its has no foreign transaction charges.

The Post Office Credit has 0% charges for 3 month's no cross border fees and mine was applied for on Thursday and was in my pocket on Saturday. Even if I don't use it in Cuba it will be useful for an emergency card if needed.

And the telephone helpline was very very helpful and noted that we were travelling abroad and what charges we were possibly going to apply to the card.

Chipmunkdancer:

That;s the card that I always use when I travel abroad, no matter to which country. I don't use it in the UK though as it doesn't carry any benefits or kick backs, like other credit cards.

I always ring them before I travel to let them know the dates I'll be abroad.
