Hotels in Mobile

Will be visiting friends who recently moved to Fairhope, near Mobile Ala. and wondering what hotels I should look for and/or avoid. Have never been in that part of the country and also would like to know what of interest I shouldn't miss. Thanks.

Do you want a hotel in Fairhope?--we have a couple of the chains Holiday Inn Expess on 98 or the New Hampton downtown. Baron's is an old fashioned motel across the road from the water in Fairhope--Ask your friends about it

There are many hotels at I-10 and 98 in Daphne--the Hampton there has a great view of the delta and bridge

Use google maps to look

Thanks, do you know about how far Daphne is from Fairhope?

You run from one city into the next on 98. Technically 6 miles

Some things of interest when you visit - the beautiful, white sand beaches of Gulf Shores or Orange Beach; Bellingrath Gardens (especially if you visit in the spring and can see the azaleas blooming); and Fort Morgan.

For a special hotel, consider the Marriott Grand Hotel in Point Clear (very close to Fairhope). It is a full service hotel with spa and golf course. Just in case you want to splurge a little.
