Self Guided Fishing lodge

Can anyone recommend a lodge that offer self guided fishing with your own boat? Looking at Cedar Pass Resort in Ketchikan. Anynne been there? Thanks

You don't mention what you'd like to fish for and when you're planning to come... both are critical in determining location, facility, etc.

Are you fishing salmon, halibut, trout? How many in your party?

IMO, it takes a larger boat and usually a guide to be very successful near any of the major port cities. If you're going someplace more remote (Pelican or Wrangell comes to mind!) then there are some good opportunities for the DIY crowd.

This has been in my favorites for awhile now.....not a resort, but it is definitely self-guided.......

Have not stayed there yet, but it sure looks neat......rent the fishing boat to go with it and you're all set.....oh and, be sure to ask about renting a crab pot (trap) too !!......

Fishing for Halibut, Lings, Rock fish and Salmon. Thinking on Greenrocks in Petersbug. Anyone been there or heard about it?

I had good luck there, but it's been 10 years. Not much in the way of lings, but salmon & halibut were good... once upon a time.
