In previous posts, everyone says wait and see what the weather is like, but don't you have to pre-book this tours? If we wait, will we be able to get on a flightseeing plane?

1. Re: flightseeing

Well, my visitors and I have made the flight 3 or 5 times with never an advance reservation. Particularly at Talkeetna, they have a bunch of competing flying companies all offering essentially the same package; all of them have a safe flying history, hire good pilots, and most have quite an interesting history behind the company and some of the rescues they have flown on. With that I am not particular who among them I fly with, I have tried three and enjoyed them all.

With that, you still have to calculate your own degree of risk at finding all of them booked up the day (choose a half day with good weather & grab what you can) you choose. I find it worth while.
