Ferry ride from Vancouver to Seward?

Anybody know if this can be done?...Say from Vancouver to Prince Rupert...then on to Seward...this would be without a car, just as a passenger. thanks

No ferries dock in Seward. Closest are Whittier or Homer.

There are several cruise ships- Holland America, Celebrity, Regent 7 Seas and Norwegian Cruise lines that do 7 day trips between Seward and Vancouver.

JWR

You could take the Canadian ferry system to Prince Rupert and then from there board the Alaska Marine Highway ferry.....would probably need to change to a cross sound ferry in Juneau to get to Whittier....that's about as close as you could come to Seward (maybe take the train from Whittier to Seward ??)....Looks possible, you would just need to check the schedules of each of the ferry systems....

For maximum comfort, I would book a cabin on the ferry.....then just sit back and enjoy the voyage !!

From Juneau to Whittier the ferry sails only once a month and it is a 40 hours passage. No direct train from Whittier to Seward
