Shop to stock up on supplies

We are travelling from Phoenix to MV with stopovers at Winslow and CdedC. We like a glass of wine in our room in CdeC and MV, where would be the best place en route to stock up. We are going via Payson - and thought this might be a good choice. We are staying our first night in Fountain Hills, anywhere there? Or is there a better place?

Also where does the time difference start - is it after Winslow?

Yes, Payson will be the best place to stock up for sure. Can't help on Fountain Hills

There's a good sized wine/liquor store in Payson on the SE corner of Highways 87 and 260 called The Beverage Place. You can also buy wine in grocery stores here in Az. There is a Safeway grocer in the same center if you'd like to get bottled water and snacks for your trip.

In Fountain Hills there is a Fry's Food Store at Shea Blvd. and Eagle Mountain Pkwy. (turn right at the light). It's got a great view of the valley as well as any supplies you might need.

Our grocery stores (that are not on an Indian reservation) have full liquor, wine and beer selections in AZ, so the suggestions above for Walmart, Fry's and Safeway are good for one-stop-shopping if you need it.

At Payson choose Walmart or Safeway for full wine and liquor selections.

Timedifference will start 10 miles north of Winslow if you take 87. Hopi reservation has same time as the rest of Az except for the Navajo Nation that surrounds it. If you take 191 timedifference will start 2 miles north of I40.

So if you drive through Hopi: lose one hour into Navajo, gain one hour into Hopi, lose one hour into Navajo Complicated? Yes ;-)
