Good stop for lunch between Las Vegas and Page?

We're driving up from Las Vegas to Page one day this summer at the start of our Grand Circle adventure. Can anyone recommend any interesting or picturesque places to stop for a lunch break and to stretch our legs?

I'm assuming route 89A will still be closed so we will have to take the Kanab route.....

St George or Kanab, will offer the most options ... The 89a is open as is the now paved, 89t .... A recommended option ... Lunch then, perhaps at Jacob Lake ... carracar

Via 89A and 89T will be a detour instead via Kanab. And yes, St. George or Kanab for lunch or maybe Hurricane. There's not much between Hurricane and Fredonia other than a fuelpump with some food.

For a place to stretch your legs, maybe Pipe Spring National Monument.

A nice place to eat in Kanab is Rockin V.

If you do go 89alt and stop at Jacob Lake, be sure to buy cookies at the store there.Another place to eat is Cliffdwellers in Marble Canyon. While there you might as well go to Lees Ferry and then walk over Navajo Bridge. If you go 89 alt plan to take all day to get to Page.Lots to see. Via Kanab is faster.

You could always drive thru Zion, but I assume you will hit that at some other point.

Thanks everyone! Rockin V sounds good, although if we're making good time we might do the alternative route and Jacob Lake etc... depends what time we get out of bed in the morning!
