Maybe others can help you on specific roads but check this website Thursday when it is updated weekly by volunteer spotters:
Definitely go as far north as you can on one of the scenic drives. The leaves here in central Arkansas have just begun to start changing. The gum trees are showing some yellow and there's some red on shrubs on side of the road. Haven't seen any Bradford Pears, oaks or maples turning. It has started getting cooler earlier than usual this year. Hopefully, you will have good luck little further north. There are many scenic drives listed on the Arkansas travel page: www.arkansas.com/things-to-do/scenic-drives . You might want to take a look at the Pig Trail (AR Scenic Byway 23 that runs thru the Boston Mountains. Also, there's AR Scenic Hwy 7 and I-530 State Scenic Byway.
If you drive anywhere near Mt. Magazine or Mt. Nebo, stop for a look at the scenic pull-off's. Very pretty. Mt. Magazine is the tallest peak in Arkansas. www.mountmagazinestatepark.com www.arkansasstateparks.com/mountnebo
Have a great trip!
Thank you for the info.
