Just to clarify , there is a chain of islands called the Channel Islands. One of these is called Catalina Island and is the main spot for tourists. Some of the other islands are visited but mostly for nature hikes and research.

When is this planned for and for how long do you wish to spend there?

The best thing I could probably advise you is to look at their official website, http://www.catalinachamber.com/mobile/index

Three to 4 days is a little long but if you're going for a completely relaxing getaway it can definitely work.

Look into some of the B&B places to start....

We stay at the Pavilion Hotel every year. It's really nice, located steps from the water, and has private patios and a large garden area with a firepit for evening wine and cheese and morning breakfast.
