Yes, the weeks surrounding Easter, funnily enough! There are no official holiday dates near that time, but plenty of families making holidays visiting Mickey and other amusement parks, beaches, and touristy spots.

Each school district in California is allowed to set its own week off for Spring Break, so there is no pinpointing one exact week to miss.

Here s a California Top Question talking about holiday periods.

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g28926-i29-k567504…

The most popular Tourist Attraction in California, the Disneyland Resort, starts expanding hours in early March, and keeps the going until late April in 2014, due to the late date of Easter Sunday.

Sorry, but it is hard to avoid in the March/April period.

Alot of the Secondary and Elementary Schools in the U.S. will take the full week before Easter Sunday as thier Spring Break with alot less taking the full week after Easter Sunday as thier Spring Break, so that time period would be busy almost everywhere you would go. Keep in mind that Easter is also on a different date each year. For 2014 Easter Sunday is on April 20th.

And there are various College Spring Breaks thorughout the U.S. all throughout mid March to around late April each year.
