2 weeks in California and Arizona

We are a couple traveling with 2 kids aged 5 and 11, this spring.

Want to start our holiday bringing in our younger one's birthday on 10th of May in SanDiego.

Looking at spending a couple of days on the beach around there and drive up to LA and then on to Vegas and Grand Canyon.

Will go on to SFO and need to fly out to DC from wherever by 23rd of May.

Need to plan the route to drive through the parks. We are ok taking buses/ trains or flights as well.

The PCH drive sounds exciting. But what can we fit in 2 weeks?

The idea is to enjoy the parks and beaches.

Suggestions please.

Which specific "parks" are you wanting to drive through?

Children + want time in San Diego + want beach time = California only. Don't make the long drive to adult playground Las Vegas or distant Grand Canyon NP in Arizona.

Rent a car.

San Diego - Anaheim - L.A. - Pismo Beach - Monterey - Yosemite NP - San Francisco

Get a car for your visit and drop it in San Francisco when you arrive in that city.

With all your plans the loop you want to make will be tight in 14 days. Grand Canyon NP will be far out of your way and you'll need a reservation there www.grandcanyonlodges.com
