Newbies looking for a Colorado recommendation

We are from Indiana and are coming out west for our first ski trip. My wife has no big snow experience, so we will probably only spend 2 days on slopes. In addition, we want to do a sleigh ride and possibly a 1/2 day snowmobile trip.

I am looking for recommendations on a destination that is not too far from Denver as that is where we would be flying in.

Any help would be appreciated.

Winter Park, Keystone, Breckenridge all within 2 hours or less.

Sleigh rides and snowmobiles are available in Winter Park.

You may also want to try the skibobs available at the ski resort. They are very easy to learn and you can be cruising beginner runs in less than an hour. No falling is required either. An introductory lesson is required before one can rent them.

The three above suggestions are good. I have the most experience with Breckenridge though. If you end up staying there, look into some awesome dogsledding and snowmobiling (you don't have to have any prior experience) with Good Time Adventures:

I've had awesome experiences with them in the past as a beginner.
