Snowboard trip Dec-13

Hi

I have been looking at Ski resports in Colorado and finding it difficult to choose as they all sound good.

We are a young couple for the UK and wanted a place that has good snow and a good nightlife (bars/resurants).

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Dec 13 is early. Season will be barely open. Coverage could be light with few runs open. Very weather dependant. Long ways to come for what could be iffy conditions. Wait till later if possible. Most resorts have decent enough nightlife, tops would be Vail, Breck, Aspen, good bars and eats. Some resorts are family oriented or just a bit quieter at night --Beaver Creek, Winter Park, Wolf Creek, Loveland, A-Basin. Good resorts with mid-level night life consider Steamboat, Keystone. Prob others I've missed. Check out line for info and some reviews:

Agree for nightlife Aspen, Breckenridge or Vail. Keystone has a highly rated terrain park if you are into that but nightlife is limited to a few bars, The Snake being the most fun IMO.

Like Texranger said it is early season. You could make your flight arrangements then book lodging closer to arrival date based on who has the most open. You won't have trouble getting lodging.

Wolf Creek will have the best (most) snow in December, but there is very little nightlife there.

Wait, if you can.

Good call going to Japan. It will also be early season, but if you head for a Hokkaido resort such as Niseko or Furano or Rusutsu, you should be pretty safe!
