Hotel room w/ an amazing mountain view, fireplace, recharge?

Hi there,

I'm looking for a hotel with an incredible view, and a private balcony with a view right from your room - ideally under $300/night, but possibly upwards of $400/night, with taxes.

I'm looking to travel by myself and really just looking for a beautiful mountain view for some peace and quiet. I do plan to leave the room, but I don't want to, for a great scene. An in-room fireplace and nice tub would be fantastic. Perhaps other amenities like spa, room service, etc - but those are less significant.

Looking to travel in early February, but not necessarily into winter sports.

The Western half of the US is somewhat of a mystery to me, being an East Coast person. But looking to expand my horizons and see some natural beauty out west :-)

Any suggestions or guidance would be most appreciated. Thank you!

If you are flying into Denver, Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are about a 90 minute drive and provide plenty of gorgeous mountain views and peace and quiet in early February. It is also a great time to see wildlife like elk, deer and bighorn sheep. Since it is low season for the area, condo, hotel, cabin, B&B and vacation rentals (vrbo, homeaway, flipkey) are sometimes half what they are in the busy summer season.

Some places that come to mind meeting your view, fireplace and tub requirements

Take a look at http://www.devilsthumbranch.com

From their web site

The Lodges at Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa are reminiscent of our country's grand National Park Lodges. You'll find expansive spaces paired with cozy nooks, sweeping views and quiet places to reflect or enjoy friends and family. Our Main Lodge has 52 rooms, many with fireplaces, all with cozy slipper tubs, heated flooring, unique charm and hand-chosen comfortable furnishings and antiques.
